Craniomandibular dysfunction (CMD) describes a malfunction of the masticatory system. This can lead to painful symptoms throughout the head and even throughout the entire body. At our practice in Wiesbaden, we specialize in the treatment of CMD.

The most common cause of CMD is an incorrect bite position, which can be caused by ill-fitting dentures, grinding and clenching of the teeth (wear and tear of the tooth substance), gum disease, tooth loss, or orthodontics.
