Snoring, also known as rhonchopathy, is a widespread phenomenon. Around 40% of people in industrialized countries are affected, with men snoring more frequently than women. Snoring can not only be annoying, but can also cause health problems. It becomes particularly serious when accompanied by breathing interruptions, known as sleep apnea, as these can pose a significant health risk.
